It's time to introduce yourselves!

by Lisa Turner

Have a seat so we can talk.

Every time I log onto Mormon Mommy Writers I see this little box filled with faces in the right hand corner. I find myself wondering who each person is. Are they writers? If they are, how long have they been writing? What is their favorite genre? Where do they live? Are they a dog or cat person? I could keep going with my questions, but I think you get the picture.

So, I've decided to do something about this curiosity of mine. I'd like to extend an open invitation to all our readers. I'd like to highlight someone each Saturday. We'll call it Saturday Stories. We can talk about whatever you want. If you want to talk about your cat, that's what we'll do. If you'd prefer to discuss writing and your journey through this world of words, that's great. So long as we get the chance to learn more about you and you share a personal story (hey it isn't called Saturday Stories for nothing), it doesn't matter.

If you're interested in being a guest on Saturday Stories drop me a note in the comments box or stop by my blog and let me know. If I don't get any comments then I'll start hunting you down on your blogs and Facebook. Is that a threat? Perhaps. I'm quite motivated people.

Stay tuned next Saturday to see who my very first victim, I mean guest will be.

Until then, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. I rarely lurk on blogs, I'm usually a pretty dedicated commenter, but I discovered this fabulous place at the height of life's insanity and haven't had time to do more than skim. Life is calming down a little and I look forward to delving in and getting to know you all better. Would love to participate in this fab idea you've had.

  7. Hello, fellow writers! I once was where you are now, writing nights and at nap time. It took me 40 years to finish my epic The Last Waltz, but it won a Whitney! I have now published twelve books, my most recent two coming out almost simultaneously--Foggy With a Chance of Murder, and my favorite so far--The Only Way to Paradise, about "the Crazy Ladies of Oakwood" who dump their therapist for a month in Italy. I wrote it there and learned a lot. Am doing a blog tour this next month and would love to do an interview with you guys! See my website at http://ggvandagriff.com. It has a blog, as well. Excelsior!

  8. I don't know if this is an appropriate use of your Saturday Stories, but I'm a Mormon mommy writer who just published a book, and I would love to hear what you think about it. Let me know if you would all like free ebooks. Then you can interview me about it if you like, or review it, or whatever. Thanks.

  9. I realize I'm a latecomer to this post, but I wanted to say what a great idea this is. It's so great that you want to take the time to know your followers. And great practice for those of us who are *ahem* new to this whole blogging and writing world. :)
