November is the Best Month

Happy November everyone! There's something about the changing of weather, the cool crisp mornings and the beautiful color of leaves that peps me right up! Or maybe it's because the fall, November especially, hails the more frantic, most fantastic, most fun-filled time of year. No not Thanksgiving and definitely not Christmas. No it's NaNoWriMo time again!!! November, the month when most people began thinking about the holidays, crazy writers all over the world began an adventurous month of writing. 50,000 words in 30 days. I can already smell the sweet scent of dirty dishes and piles of unwashed laundry. The smoke of overheating computers and the strong stench of a month with few showers. Kids will be whining for food, husbands will be whining for time, and bills will be whining to be paid. It truly is the best time of the year.

So who all is doing NaNoWriMo? I'm going to try my hand at it this year but I've set a goal only to write everyday not to win. What are your goals if you are doing?

  1. No NaNo for me. I like your goal of writing every day!

  2. I'm in, but I'm refusing to focus entirely on wordcount. I'm trying to get 50K, but if I have to choose between wordcount and quality, I'm going to choose quality. That doesn't mean my quality's going to be great. Just that I refuse to use any of the "tricks" that are so common on the forums.

  3. I'm doing my own type of NaNo, trying to complete my current WIP. Good luck to everyone!!!

  4. I'm in. My husband came home yesterday and said he was going a diet. I said, "Good idea, since I won't be cooking anyway!!" LOL! I'm hoping to actually finally win this thing for a change! I'm hoping for 4,000 words by the end of day two, and I'm only 6oo words from that goal! Yeah, November!!
