Let's see, I have two little boys (4 & 6) who are the funniest people I've ever met and I get to stay home with them which is absolutely wonderful. I also have a giant, polar-bear of a husband who is from Finland. He is 6'5" and I am 5'2"... we are like a walking skit.I have a B.S. in Public Relations/Marketing and I've done a variety of different things in my professional career. Among them: Human Resources, Recruiting, Advertising, Sales - as well as owning and running my own day spa. I never imagined that I would really enjoy writing fiction.
Last January, I suddenly had people talking in my head. I didn't know why or how they got in there! After about a week of questioning my own sanity, I decided to listen to what they were saying. Turns out they had a fantastical story to tell and had chosen me to tell it.
Now, a year later, I have a manuscript that I am just finishing the last revision on. Hopefully, early next month I will be in a position to start the submission process. I expected once I finished their story, the voices would go away... much to my surprise, and I admit--my delight... they just kept going. After finally sitting down and outlining all the things they kept telling me, I discovered that my current WIP is the first in a series of at least five.
I have been blessed to meet amazing, talented and funny people through this project... most of whom are on this blog. So, I am very excited to be here and feel lucky you let me contribute. :) Howdy everyone and happy Tuesday!
Isn't it funny that I didn't know half that stuff about you? I think we just kind of started right in the middle of our friendship and forgot that we didn't know each other. LOL So, nice to meet you, Jenn, I'm Kasie (you know the one that IMs with you and has already read your book [which is awesome]) LOL You are very interesting. I thought me and my husband had a big height difference (I'm 5'8", he's 6'8") but you got me beat.
