It’s Sprint Time!

I’m trying to get myself geared up to write some of the closing scenes in my novel- that’s right, I’m approaching THE END.

Yikes!

67,642 words. And it’s time for some characters to say goodbye. And to realize what was right in front of them all along. We’ll see how this goes....

So leave a comment to let me know you’re sprinting with me, start writing at the top of the hour, and then check back every 15 minutes and share your word count.

Could I reach THE END tonight???

Unlikely. I’m far too wordy for that.

;-)

  10. My house is dusty, too. House cleaning is the first thing to go when I'm writing. that and cooking. Balance is hard for me too. Whenever I'm doing one thing, I think, I should the doing such and such. Because we have people in our live whom we love, our time is never just our own. I think that's what we have to reconcile. :-)

  15. So I missed the sprint. But I did 15 mins on my own and got 408 words! Which is great because it's going towards tomorrows word count!!

  18. No, I didn’t end up being done done- people said their goodbyes, the heroine realized who she really loved and got her beloved horse back and her arch nemesis was found guilty and sent away to boarding school and her other arch nemeses will be taking an extended vacation and leaving her in peace for awhile. But I still have two more scenes that need to be written to wrap up some loose ends- one for a minor character who, as it turns out, was not as she seemed, and some closure for the MC about the one she had to say goodbye to. :-) Oh, and then I need to go back and rewrite a chapter which I changed halfway through and add in some scenes I didn’t feel like writing before but really need to be written! (just housekeeping getting from point A to point B stuff.) And Yay for you!!!

  20. Too true, Mare. I like that perspective, however much it can sometimes make me feel like there's a lot hanging over me. It's all important!
